I love Soundgarden. I love Alice in Chains. So when a band from Sheffield shows up sounding like both, what’s a boy to do? Listen, of course, though with a dose of skepticism. After a week with DeadBlondeStars, I’m in. Their self-titled debut is packed with thick riffs, weighty grooves, and vocals that hit with grit and power. It’s a record that nods to the classic grunge sound while carving out its own space, proof that this band has the chops to carry that torch forward. Great band, awesome rocking album.
